What's New!!

Prairie Points

I enjoy making prairie points to insert into a simple quilt or table runner.  It adds an element of interest without much work!

With the Prairie Points Pressing Tool, making these cute triangles is quick and easy.

Here's a quilt that I made from one of my patterns.  With one Layer Cake package and a yard of fabric for the borders, this quilt top only took a few hours to put together.  With the extra squares from the Layer Cake, I made the prairie points using the Prairie Point Pressing Tool.

Quilt in a Day Rulers!

While most of these rulers aren't really "new", I do find that they are pretty handy to have.  Many of you know who Eleanor Burns - Quilt in a Day - is.  If not, she's probably the best quilt teacher and designer for showing and writing the easiest way to make quilts, cut blocks and put them together.  I've never been disappointed with any of her books or the ease of any of her specialty rulers.  A good example is the flying geese rulers.  When you are finished, you have two flying geese with little thinking.  How great is that!

If you really want to make your quilting life easier, invest in different types of rulers depending on what you are working on.  Like any other sewing tool, these rulers and many others just make it so much easier and more fun!  Buy a ruler here and there when you can.  Having the right tools makes sewing much easier especially rulers.

Creating bias tape has never been easier. Without hassle, press one button to both fold and press precut strips into a single fold bias tape. Make 1" bias strips with the included tip.
